Nona Fitzhugh is our Dietary Food Services Manager. After a brief stint at Spectrum Hospital, Nona returned to Rest Haven, believing Rest Haven is really where God wants her. Nona is a graduate of Auburn Universities' Dietary Manager Training Course. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of menus including special dietary needs. We have created special menus for residents with diagnoses including diabetes, celiac's, and cardiac disease.
Nona's husband Mike is a full-time itinerant preacher. They have two children and five wonderful grandchildren. Contact Nona if you have questions about our dietary program or about how we can help solve your special dietary needs.
Laura Kasperski is our newest Team Member. Laura rejoined the Rest Haven family in 2008. Her career with Rest Haven started back in the early 90's but she left to pursue her nursing education. After completing her Bachelors in Nursing at Mount Mercy College in Iowa, returned to the Grand Rapids area.
She has worked in critical care at a local area hospital for the past several years. Her recent training and experience can offer your loved one the confidence that not only will Rest Haven seek to serve the spiritual and emotional needs of our residents, but also their complicated medical needs.

Brian Wilson joined the Rest Haven family in 1996. His training as an LPN gives him insight into the medical needs of the residents at Rest Haven. He completed his Administrator's training through MSU but finds that everyday is an opportunity to learn and grow. His passion is for dementia care and he facilitates an Alzheimer's support group for male care-givers at Rest Haven.
Brian is the father four and enjoys singing, reading and gardening.

Camille Lieffers is responsible for our Enviromental Services. You will find her working in one of the laundries, janitor closets, guest apartments, relocating our residents, filling bird feeders or whatever she sees that needs to be done. It is seldom you will find her in her office.
Camille is married to a third-generation carpenter and has a daughter still living at home. Her other daughter is married and has made Camille a proud grandma of two. She enjoys watching wildlife in her backyard and playing volleyball.

Dave serves at Rest Haven by managing the hiring of employees and performing the various duties associated with human resources. He also takes responsibility for the maintenance department. This unusual combination of duties fills his day with variety and challenges which he enjoys.
He has been serving at Rest Haven for over seven years after previously working in a manufacturing environment for twenty five years.

Terry Carrick has served in many capacities during her long-term commitment to Rest Haven. As Associate Administrator, she is responsible for the financial management of the facility.
In her spare time Terry is our on-site computer “geeker”, resident historian and reference for many regulatory issues. She has a great vision for our future and with a nursing background, has a passion for quality care.
Single, Terry found time to restore a 1975 Beetle, purchase a home and rescue a farm kitten named Mister Muggins.

Ruth Johnston serves as our Director of Activities. Ruth is a 2001 graduate of Grand Valley State University. She graduated with a Psychology Degree and has been Certified as a Child Life Specialist. During her schooling she interned with Spectrum Health where she planned and carried out activities for patients with terminal illnesses. Ruth has over five years of activity and counseling experience.
Outside of work, Ruth enjoys helping others too, planning many special events for her church, her friends and others. She has planned weddings, receptions, and showers and served on multiple decoration committees. Ruth also enjoys spending time traveling and playing with her many nieces and nephews.
